Sustainability has grown from a niche to a basic requirement for European fashion companies. During the last 8 years I have analysed market data with a focus on sustainability and researched new business models and technical innovations in the fashion industry. I have used this knowledge to guide suppliers producing leather and textile products on how to be successful today by preparing for the fashion industry of tomorrow. It is my conviction that the time of making important business decisions such as developing collections and deciding on sourcing locations solely on intuition has gone. Today’s successful fashion companies operate on market data and constantly try to learn from themselves and others. In my experience, that’s the shortest and most fun exciting route to lasting success.
